As a musical theater artist, I admit that I’ve always been intimidated finding and performing contrasting monologues for auditions. I trusted that Chevi’s experience and passion for the actor’s process would be the perfect fit to guide me through the intimidating challenge of venturing into preparing new acting monologues for stage and screen auditions. Chevi began coaching sessions with the big picture questions about my goals and values as an actor which I really appreciated. From our conversation Chevi provided a list of incredibly rich and diverse monologues to explore. Throughout our coaching sessions Chevi provided unconditional support, invaluable tools, and guidance for how to find, memorize, and authentically perform monologues that suit me as an actor. Chevi’s coaching and compassionate support unlocked potential that I didn’t know existed and for that I’m eternally grateful.

Chevi has worked with me many times in the past decade to help prepare for leading roles with heavy line loads. She used multiple tools to assist me with memorization, such as creating custom audio recordings from script and playing multiple scene partners. In addition, I've witnessed her thoughtful and strategic work as a fight and intimacy choreographer. Her methods keep actors feeling safe and, in the end, enhance the storytelling for all so that by the time the show opens, the actor feels confident, and the production appears spontaneous and effortless.
