I help actors learn their lines so that they have more confidence and strong storytelling in auditions, rehearsals, and performances.

I’m a coach and theatre change agent who specializes in acting, directing, and movement.

My anti-racist ethos is to center historically excluded people, specifically Global Majority folx,
with projects that dismantle white supremacy.

I’m Black, Puerto Rican, Hawaiian, and Chinese. I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for my ancestors and elders past and present. The sum of my identity is greater than a colonial mindset about my credentials. I do not discount the labor, time, and money that went into earning my education. If we met in person, I would begin with my story.

1983. I was born in California. A mixed-race baby. My lived experience was yet to come.

2003. I wanted to be an actor. I studied acting in England. Every play I read was written by a white man. I was a first-gen student inside of a pre-dominantly white system.

2006. I had a lot of student loan debt. I started in the basement of a big company scanning documents. This was not my calling.

2016. I moved up the corporate ladder. I went back to school. I studied organizational leadership. I worked as an analyst and project manager. I was unhappy.

2017. I founded empathos co. I produced, co-wrote, and directed plays. I talked with actors. I walked into my calling.

2019. I left the big company. I became a public servant.

2020. I was furloughed during the COVID lockdown. I took classes led by Global Majority leaders in theatre.

2023. I left public service. I put theatre first.

Now. I am lionhearted about sharing my lived experience. I want to help you with theatre.
